The Great Pumpkin Dessert - December 2014

Ingredients-

• 3 eggs
• 1 cup sugar
• 4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
• 1 package yellow cake mix
• 3/4 cup melted butter
• 1 2/3 cups of chopped walnuts
• Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (or both)
• 1 can (12 ounces) of evaporated milk
• 1 can (15 ounces) solid-pack pumpkin

• In a large bowl, beat the pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar and pumpkin pie spice all together.
• Greased a 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish.
• Spread mixture into baking dish evenly.
• Sprinkle the cake mix over the mixture and drizzle with butter.
• Top with walnuts.
• Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
• Serve with ice cream or whipped cream. Yields 12-16 servings.
