Brazilian Hot Dogs - July 2019

Ingredients-
● 1 tablespoon butter
● 2 onions diced
● 2 garlic cloves, pressed
● 2 tablespoons tomato paste
● mayonnaise- optional
● ¼ cup of water
● salt to taste
● 1 14.5oz can of tomato sauce
● 2 ears of corn, grilled, sliced from cob
● 2 ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded, diced
● 2 tablespoons flat leaf parsley, finely chopped
● 2 packages of your favorite hot dogs, cut into slices
● Hot dog or sub rolls
Directions-
● Melt the butter, sauté the onion and garlic until golden.
● Add the bell pepper, the tomatoes and sauté another 5 minutes, over low heat, adding the tomato past and stirring until well combined.
● Set aside.
● Boil the cut hot dogs for 2 minutes.
● Drain and mix in the sauce over low heat.
● Always stirring, add the tomato sauce and ¼ cup of water (do not boil).
● Serve in hot dog buns or sub rolls. Enjoy!
