Filter Replacements

Filter Replacements are one of the simpler & less expensive services that can be performed on your vehicle resulting in the most value. Air Filters, Fuel Filters & Cabin Air Filters are the most common.

Air Filters

Air Filters should be inspected regularly & replaced when they show signs of debris & dirt. They are usually one of the easier & less expensive filters to replace. A Dirty Air Filter can reduce fuel economy by an average of 2-4 miles per gallon. It could almost pay for itself within the first week!

Below is a few of the worst air filters that we have seen & replaced in the past. The one on the far left is damaged by rodents & is missing most of the filter element allowing unfiltered air & debris to enter your engine, minimizing it's life expectancy. The middle filter is extremely dirty & was causing the vehicle to run poorly due to lack of air entering the engine. The filter to the right is typical of what we see in the colder months. Mice & Rodents will make nests in your air cleaner housing to keep warm at night. We have fabricated & installed several screens in air cleaner housings to eliminate rodents from entering. If we feel that is a necessary option, we will inform you.

Fuel Filters

Fuel Filters are a very important item to be changed regularly. most are not easily accessible and today's fuel systems are under extreme pressures, so your best to leave it to the professionals. Because you cannot usually see the filter element like with air filters, it is recommended that they be changed every 15k-20k miles for most applications. *Restricted fuel filters are one of leading causes for fuel pump failures.

Cabin Air Filter

Cabin Air Filter are available in most newer cars & may be one of the most important filters in today's vehicles. Cabin Air Filters clean the air entering the interior of your car that You Breathe! Over time, these filters will become restricted by leaves, pine needles & debris causing mold & sometimes odor. Inspection & Replacement of Cabin Air Filters is especially important for those who suffer from allergies. Although they are typically not as easy to change as engine air filters, they are equally, if not more important & well worth the investment.
